ILMERA Study Abroad was founded with a singular belief: that every deserving student should have a clear, honest, and supported pathway to a world-class education — regardless of where they come from. As part of the ILMERA Group, we bring institutional trust, deep expertise, and a genuine passion for student success.

ILMERA was built by people who went through the process themselves. Founder Jabir KJ is currently studying at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy — he has personally dealt with the applications, the funding paperwork and the visa appointments he now guides students through. That is the difference between advice read from a brochure and advice from someone who has actually filed the documents.

ILMERA Study Abroad has guided over 50 students to universities across nine destinations: Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Russia and the GCC. We specialise in the students other consultancies turn away — those with academic backlogs, a low percentage, or no IELTS — because those are exactly the profiles that Russia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Latvia routinely accept.

We work entirely online and by phone. There is no walk-in office, and that is deliberate: it means a student in Madikeri, Virajpet, Kushalnagar or Somwarpet gets the same counsellor, the same country-by-country cost breakdown and the same honest eligibility check as a student in Bangalore, without travelling for it.

Documents are shared digitally; Operations Head Zaheer KJ verifies them and files your applications. Visa appointments are booked at the relevant consulate — for most European destinations that means Bengaluru or Chennai, and it is the only travel the process requires.

What Kodagu students most often ask about

The most common questions we get from Coorg are about studying with a low PUC percentage, routes that skip IELTS, and free or near-free tuition. Public universities in Germany charge little to no tuition but require an APS certificate from Indian applicants and proof of funds in a blocked account. Italy's regional DSU scholarships are income-assessed via ISEE and can cover tuition plus a living stipend. Russia, Slovakia, Lithuania and Latvia accept lower percentages and backlogs and frequently waive IELTS. Which of these fits depends entirely on your actual marksheet, which is what the free consultation is for.

Jabir KJ is the Founder of ILMERA Study Abroad and a financial consultant, currently studying at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy. He works on the side of the process most students find hardest: money. That means mapping real total costs country by country, checking eligibility for Italy's income-based DSU regional scholarships, and preparing the proof-of-funds and blocked-account documentation that student visa applications turn on. He founded ILMERA because he had already navigated that paperwork himself and saw how few students from smaller districts had anyone to explain it to them.

Fawaz BH is Marketing Head at ILMERA Study Abroad and an independent SEO, AEO and GEO consultant based in Kushal Nagar, Kodagu, Karnataka. He runs his own practice at fawazbhseo.in and holds certifications from Ahrefs Academy and Semrush plus an Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing. At ILMERA he is the reason students in Kodagu can find honest study-abroad information at all — he grew up in Kushal Nagar and built ILMERA's content around the questions students here actually ask.

Zaheer KJ is Operations Head at ILMERA Study Abroad, responsible for the document chain that decides whether an application succeeds. He handles transcript and marksheet verification, APS submissions for Germany, university application filing, visa document sets and appointment scheduling, and he tracks every student's file against its intake deadline. When a student asks "what happens next," Zaheer is the person who knows.
